Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941, the child of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. At the age of 13, Richard Bruce accompanied his parents in Casper (in the US state of Wyoming) in Wyoming, where his father worked as the director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's land conservation districts.
